Frames on Franklin: Where Infrastructure and Community Connect

The next time you are in downtown Tampa, take a moment to experience Frames on Franklin, THEA’s evolving public art installation beneath the Selmon Expressway across from USF Health CAMLS.

Recently refreshed with new artwork and updated visuals, Frames on Franklin continues to transform an everyday piece of infrastructure into a vibrant community space that reflects the energy, movement, and connectivity of downtown Tampa. The current installation, “Connected to Downtown,” highlights THEA’s properties and efforts to connect Tampa’s urban core — from the Selmon Greenway and Deputy Kotfila Memorial Dog Park to the connections that support everyday life in the city.

Frames on Franklin represents THEA’s broader commitment to creating infrastructure that does more than move traffic. It is about investing in spaces that contribute to the character of our community, support beautification efforts, and create experiences that make downtown Tampa more engaging and connected.

Be on the lookout for the next installation! We are planning a new gallery with rotating artwork from local artists and partner collaborations. Stay tuned!
