The project includes adding one lane in each direction within THEA’s existing right-of-way to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.

Additional improvements include the construction of noise walls in residential areas, enhancements to 26 bridges, including the unveiling of a signature Hillsborough River bridge into downtown, improvements to 14 underpasses, and upgrades to drainage systems. The project is designed to enhance safety, improve reliability, and help reduce cut-through traffic on Bayshore Boulevard and surrounding neighborhood streets.
