Investing in Innovation: Upgrades to the THEA Traffic Management Center

At the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA), our mission is to provide safe, reliable, and innovative mobility. To stay ahead of this historic growth, we have made significant upgrades to our Traffic Management Center.

Behind the scenes, these improvements required major investments in hardware and visualization tools:

• PC Upgrades: We replaced legacy operator workstations with high-performance PCs designed to handle advanced traffic management applications. These upgrades improve system speed, reliability, and security.
• Video Wall Modernization: Our new state-of-the-art video wall provides a clearer, more dynamic view of real-time traffic conditions. This upgrade enhances situational awareness.
