Get a Game Plan for 2023

It’s a new year, so that means it’s a fresh start. This year, it’s time to get active, follow through with your resolutions, and start living a healthy lifestyle. Tampa Bay is the perfect place to be, with great weather all year round, various places to exercise outdoors, and several neighborhood markets for fresh food. At THEA, part of our commitment to the community is giving back, providing options and opportunities for healthy lifestyle activities, and being environmentally responsible.

Selmon Greenway

The Selmon Greenway is a 1.7-mile, 15-foot wide multi-use trail that connects to other citywide trails such as the Riverwalk, Bayshore Boulevard / Bayshore Greenway, the McKay Bay Trail, and more. This path is bike-friendly and dog friendly, making it the perfect place to fulfill your healthy lifestyle needs.

Brandon Parkway

The Brandon Parkway is a three-mile toll-free parkway that provides pedestrian and biking paths for safe recreation and healthy living. The green space and stunning views have made it a popular destination for pedestrians and it is often filled with families taking afternoon walks. So for those looking to escape that fast pace of downtown Tampa, the Brandon Parkway is an excellent escape for some outdoor activity.

Meridian Parkway

Meridian Avenue connects travelers to Tampa’s beautiful and culture-filled neighborhoods, giving residents, visitors, and commuters convenient access to downtown Tampa, the Channelside District, the Port of Tampa, and the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Amalie Arena.

Along Meridian Avenue is the Meridian Parkway which provides wide sidewalks along both sides of the road, giving pedestrians a safe way to commute or enjoy the Florida sunshine while walking or biking. In addition, there are timed crosswalks and benches to rest in the shade.

When you’re ready for a break after some exercise on the Meridian Parkway or the Selmon Greenway, you can head to neighborhood markets for fresh foods from South Tampa to Water Street and beyond. The beautification of many connected neighborhoods along these trails offers healthy restaurants and rest stops.

THEA will get you active this new year to meet your healthy lifestyle resolutions.
